Chris Gayle Chats with DigicelCricket from India
DigicelCricket.com caught up with Chris Gayle yesterday and found out he is enjoying India and the royal treatment he is receiving. Here he tells us all about his time there so far:
I have to say that I am really grateful. Things have been going great since I arrived in India to take part in the IPL as a member of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team. I have now played in three matches and the results have been great.
Starting off with my first IPL century was amazing. It felt really good and I am even more pleased that our team has now won three games in a row. Before I arrived they had lost three in a row and I feel really proud to have played a role in helping us get back into the top end of the points table.
Adjusting to being here has been so easy as well, I truly feel like I am home. I cannot say enough about the hospitality I have had since arriving. Everyone has really been warm and welcoming.
Our team is currently on a week long break so I am enjoying some time at the Kingfisher resort in beautiful Goa. Wow, what a wonderful place! I really do feel like royalty, the treatment I have had here is incredible! I have to say that I am truly thankful and the break is very much welcomed.
But I am also looking forward to getting back to work and focusing on our next match on Friday. We have a great group of guys on our team and I feel really privileged to have been given the opportunity to come here and do what I enjoy doing most, which is playing cricket!
